Unfair Dismissal and Wrongful Dismissal:

Fees:

• Fixed Fee (estimate based on work involved in conducting the matter)
• No win no fee agreement
• Private hourly rate agreement

Costs:

Costs can be between – £1000 – £10,000 plus VAT. The average price is £5000 plus VAT. Work of this nature may involve approximately 25 hours work. The work and hours involved will depend on the work required, the complexity of the case, number of witnesses, hearings and so on.

VAT is currently at 20%. If disbursements are applicable, we will let you know the amount as soon as possible and before fees are incurred. Counsel’s fees are estimated between £1000 to £3000 per day excluding VAT, (charged at 20%) depending on experience of the advocate for attending a Tribunal Hearing (including preparation).

What is included in our service :

• Initial attendance and advice
• Negotiating with ACAS and with the employer
• Considering Documents.
• Drafting ET1 and all Employment Tribunal Documents.
• Attending hearings.
• Instructing a barrister if required.

Hourly Rates:

• Director – £260 plus VAT
• Solicitors – £210 plus VAT
• Trainee Solicitors / Paralegal – £120 plus VAT

The work may be carried out by a director, solicitor or a trainee solicitor/paralegal (who will be supervised by a solicitor). A director will have overall supervision and conduct. Please note our fees do not include any employment tribunal fees, counsel fees, expert’s fees, disbursements of any kind, vat and enforcement.

We also provide a Settlement Agreement Service. The costs of approving a straightforward Settlement Agreement are
normally between £500.00 plus vat.

Time Scales :

Generally cases take can up to a year to conclude from the date of our first meeting with you. There are factors which may increase the length of time including adjournments and listing by the court.
